Rebecca A. Gallardo is Managing Partner with Protelo Group Realty in San Jose, California. Her Entrepreneurial and Leadership career spans 30 years. Rebecca Manages a Real Estate team and Specializes with First Time Home Buyers, Investors, 1031 Exchanges and Property Management. She has worked tirelessly to create the American Dream of sustainable homeownership for families.
She has been active in Business and Community affairs for over 30 years. Has served as the Chairman of the Board for the National Association of Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), March 2008 to March 2009. She served as their Vice-Chairman in 2007, Parliamentarian and Past Secretary. NAHREP's mission is to create sustainable homeownership and educate the Real Estate Professional, serving over 50 Chapters and 14, 000 members Nationwide. She advocated in Washington D.C and is quoted in Local and National media for response to the current Real Estate market. She is a founding member of the NAHREP Santa Clara County Chapter and Past President. She is a past member of the Hispanic Marketing Council with First American Title Company, acting as an Advisory Council member. She served on the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Diversity Committee and previously served as a California Association of Realtor’s (CAR) Director for 2002-2003 where educational and policy platforms were planned for Members and Statewide Legislative Advocacy. Locally she served as past Chair for Government Relations Committee, (GRC) and Borpac member for the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors. She was also appointed to serve on the Mayors Task Force on Rent Control.
She served as Chairman for the Santa Clara County Planning Commission. Having served two terms as a Commissioner making land use, planning and regulation decisions for Santa Clara Counties Fifteen Cities including the Silicon Valley. She is Certified in Public Service Ethics by the California Fair Political Practices Commission. She is a founding member of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley and supports the mentorship, development and leadership of Latinas to Boards and Commissions. She was Past Vice-Chair Silicon Valley Latino Democratic Forum and served as a Director, a body of the Central Labor Council that drives voter registration and involvement in the political process.
As a past Board member of the Bay Area Lupus Foundation she coordinated the development of a Spanish language educational video distributed throughout the US and Latin American Countries to serve and dispel this misdiagnosed Disease to Medical Doctors, Nurses and Lupus patients. As a past member of the City of San Jose Human Rights Committee she promoted fulfillment of human rights. She has also beenrecognized as the Silicon Valley Business Journal Top Women in Business Honoree.
Rebecca A. Gallardo has a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration with a Minor in Marketing Management from San Jose State University, an Associate of Art's degree in Marketing, and an Associate of Art’s in Liberal Studies from San Jose City College. She graduated from the Mexican American League of Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) leadership program and more recently the Latina Leadership Academia (LLA) and Wellstone Action Training. She is trained in Public Communications and Crisis Management. She is Bilingual speaking both Spanish and English. Rebecca Gallardo is a strong advocate for the needs of the Business community and Real Estate community.
