Rebecca Ann Gallardo is Managing Partner with Protelo Group Real Estate Services in San Jose. Protelo Group Real Estate Services is a boutique Real Estate office in East San Jose that serves clients throughout the South Bay. Her entrepreneurial career spans 15 years specializing in working with First Time Home Buyers, Investors and Property Management. She has worked tirelessly to create the American Dream of sustainable homeownership for families. She has been recognized as the Silicon Valley Business Journal Top Women in Business Honoree.
She has been active in community affairs for over 30 years. She will be installed as the Chairman of the Board for the National Association of Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), March 2008 to March 2009. She served in the Executive Committee as their Vice-Chairman in 2007, Parliamentarian and Past Secretary. NAHREP’s mission is to create sustainable homeownership and educate Real Estate practioners, serving 62 Chapters and 14,000 members Nationwide. She is an advocate in Washington D.C and is quoted in local and National media for response to the current subprime market and general trends in Real Estate. She is a founding member of the NAHREP Santa Clara County Chapter and Past President. She is a past member of the Hispanic Marketing Council with First American Title Company, acting as an Advisory Council member. She previously served as a California Association of Realtor’s Director for 2002-2003 where educational and policy platforms were planned for members and statewide legislative advocacy. Locally she served as past Chair for the Government Relations Committee, (GRC) and Borpac member for the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors. While serving as GRC Chair, she was also appointed to serve on the Mayors Task Force on Rent Control.
She currently serves as a Santa Clara County Planning Commissioner, making land use, planning and regulation decisions for the Santa Clara County. She is a founding member of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley and supports the development and leadership of Latinas. She was Past Vice-Chair Silicon Valley Latino Democratic Forum and currently serves as a Director. SVLDF is a forum that drives voter registration, involvement in the political process and promotion and endorsement of candidates for office. As a past Board member of the Bay Area Lupus Foundation she coordinated the development of a Spanish language educational video distributed throughout the Country to serve medical practitioners and Lupus patients.
At a young age, Rebecca’s political training has included working on local campaigns for then Council member Blanca Alvarado and serving as a Board member of the Mexican American Political Association. As a past member of the City of San Jose Human Rights Committee she promoted fulfillment of human rights.

Rebecca Ann Gallardo has a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration with a Minor in Marketing Management from San Jose State University, an Associate of Art's degree in Marketing, and an Associate of Art’s in Liberal Studies from San Jose City College. She graduated from the Mexican American League of Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) leadership program. Here she set forth her goals and plans for a future of business entrepreneurialism and community leadership. She is a strong advocate for the needs of the housing and business community.
